How to Be Politically Correct
With the holiday season coming up, it's important to think about what you say to other people before going on a long, restful vacation- the last thing you want before taking a break is leaving a bad impression. Here are some helpful tips to consider:
Now, you might think that simply saying "Merry Christmas!" is perfectly fine. Wrong. Saying "Merry Christmas" implies that only the Christian holiday, Christmas, is worth celebrating, thus you are not being considerate of other religions or cultures. And why are you assuming that the holiday being celebrated will be merry? What if a family is going through a rough patch? How could you be so inconsiderate of other people's struggles?
With "Merry Christmas" out of the bag, you're probably convinced that "Happy Holidays" will encompass all religions. Wrong again. Not everyone celebrates a holiday at all during this period, so why would you assume that a person will have "happy holidays?" Once again, what if these holidays are not happy? How could you be so ignorant of other cultures?
You're wondering what else you could possibly say at this point. Well, let's forge a farewell together! First, we have to address everyone's emotions, not just the happy people. So, taking an average of all emotions being felt at this current moment, let's just say "neutral." Next, we must choose a day that anyone can celebrate, regardless of their beliefs. How about "days?" Sounds good. Putting this together, we can say, "Neutral Days!" before going on break. Fantastic, right? Not so fast. What if it isn't daytime for a specific individual in a different timezone? We can't afford to offend those people. Being considerate, let's agree upon "Neutral Times!" Perfect. Now, we can be polite to others without offending any culture, religion, belief, geographical location, timezone, climate, or even planet!
Good job for choosing to be politically correct this holiday season! Your efforts will be fruitful in the years to come. Give yourself a pat on the back! Neutral Times to everyone!

Man in Power Accused of Sexual Misconduct
On December 32nd, 2017, a man in power was accused of sexual harassment by a woman. According to her account, the man had behaved inappropriately towards her during the period of time in which she worked for his company, Authority Inc. He has denied these allegations, claiming, "I would never conduct myself in such a way while I am working. My respect for not only my employees but women as well is impeccable." Since then, however, many other women have come forward, accusing him of sexual misconduct.
One of the man's business partners and co-founder of Authority Inc, William R. Korupt, defends the man, stating that, "He never puts anything in front of his work. He is a very hard worker, and would do anything for his company's success." When asked what the company does, Korrupt responded, "We handle a lot of money here. The amount of money that we are in possession of is quite large. We have a lot of power and influence. I don't understand why these women would accuse him of such immoral actions. As a matter of fact, he told me he was offering them promotions- what ungrateful employees."
An investigation done by the Wall Street Journal has found previously undisclosed allegations against the man, which were covered up by the man himself, paid off using the company's assets. When Corrupt was shown the report, he denied the legitimacy of the investigation and WSJ's credibility. The man in power remained in power, not only promoting Corrupt but also another employee, Ego Senterd. "There seems to be a stigma towards sexual misconduct by men in power. I think we all need to speak up and do something about it. We must look up to great men like Harvey Weinstein and Charlie Rose who are working to break this stigma for the betterment of society."
